When the weather turns chilly, we normally find ourselves battling through the mornings. Having a cold or flu during winter makes getting out of bed that much harder. We are almost at the backend of winter and we want to get you feeling tip-top in time for spring, so here are some simple tips to help boost your immune system.

1. H2O

Make sure you are drinking plenty of water to help flush out any toxins and also to help keep you hydrated. Keep a bottle of water at your work desk, in your car, in the pram, wherever- just don’t forget!

2. Nutrition

No matter how rushed you are in the morning, be sure to make time for breakfast- it is after all the most important meal of the day. Your diet essentials should include an adequate source of protein as well as fresh fruit and veggies.

3. Exercise

Just because it’s cold outside, stay motivated with your fitness- try to exercise moderately 3 times per week.  And if it’s too cold to go for a run outside, you can always call your local HYPOXI studio and book a 30 minute session.

4. Anti-Bacteria

Make sure you wash your hands frequently especially if you are stuck in an office space and in direct contact with people who may have contracted cold symptoms. It doesn’t hurt to throw a small bottle of anti-bacterial in your bag so you always have a germ killer handy.

5. Sleep

Take care of your body and get an adequate amount of sleep each night. If you’re starting to feel run down, make time to relax because your body will be thankful later!
