NSW Re-Opening Information

WELCOME BACK TO NSW HYPOXI CLIENTS

We’re excited to let you know that from Monday 15 June 2020, we will be opening the doors to HYPOXI studios in NSW, in line with the latest announcement from the NSW Government around gym re-openings.

As part of the NSW government roadmap, there are temporary capacity guidelines we need to adhere to, so bookings will be essential for all sessions.

HYPOXI Memberships

Due to current Government regulations, all attendance to the studio must be booked in advance through your local studio.

We know times have been tough, and we know how important fitness is for both our mental and physical wellbeing, so to ensure you can get back we will be reducing our membership pricing to only $99 a week! Which we hope will ease the pressure so you can get back into the studios and continue to work on your body shaping goals. Also, you’ve asked and we’ve listened – continued FREE access to HYPOXI Facebook Live stream workouts.

If you are joining HYPOXI for the first time, our new membership program pricing is as follows:

  • 3 sessions a week for $99 per week (minimum term: 8 weeks)
  • Or, 3 sessions a week for $109 per week (no minimum term)
  • Check out our new pricing options here
  • Please note only the L250 (lay down machine) and S120 (sit up machine) will be in operation

Booking Sessions

To ensure we meet government guidelines, we will be booking all HYPOXI sessions ahead of time. You can book in sessions for up to 7 days in advance.

You MUST book in to attend all HYPOXI sessions.

Health And Safety

We’re doing everything we can to protect the health and safety of our clients and staff as we welcome you back to the studio. Some of these measures include:

  • We ask that you don’t come in if you are feeling unwell, have returned from overseas in the past 14 days or have come into contact with a suspected or known case of COVID-19
  • Maintaining social distancing of 1.5m at all times
  • Providing multiple hygiene stations throughout the studio including hand sanitiser and sanitising wipes for all clients and staff
  • Capping studio attendance as per the NSW government roadmap
  • Increased cleaning of all studios
  • Providing education programs to our entire network
  • We have ensured our staff have undertaken Australian Government training modules on COVID-19 and increased our educational signage in our studios to ensure our whole community understands these protection measures

Vulnerable people like the elderly and people with chronic health conditions should talk to their doctor about what is appropriate for them.

HEALTH, SAFETY & CLEANING

How is HYPOXI protecting members and staff?

At HYPOXI, the safety of our clients and staff is our number one priority. We have put an extensive range of protective measures in place. These include (but not limited to); hygiene stations including hand sanitiser and disinfectant wipes, a strict “no towel, no train policy”, increased cleaning specifications, adhering to social distancing guidelines, booking in for sessions to ensure accurate contact tracing and meeting capacity guidelines.

In addition, staff will be provided with disposable gloves, masks, and extensive cleaning kits ready for use.

What are you doing about keeping the HYPOXI clean?

The safety of our clients and staff is always our priority. We will be meeting the guidelines set out by COVID Safe Industry Plan.  We have also put an extensive range of protective measures in place.  These include

  • Your club/studio has had a deep clean conducted  prior to reopening
  • Social distancing to ensure a minimum of 1.5 metres between each individual
  • Assisting health authorities with contact tracing
  • Increased cleaning and sanitation, including providing hand sanitiser and sanitising wipes
  • Ensuring clients bring a towel and own water bottle
  • Thorough cleaning of all equipment by staff
  • Equipment to be sanitised between uses

Why can’t I use the HDC and VAC?

Safety of our staff and clients is our top priority. There are washing procedures that will need to be undertaken for the equipment, that we simply won’t have time to complete with all the other cleaning measures required in the studio at this time with limited capacity restrictions.

Why do I need to take my own measurements?

Safety of our staff and clients is our top priority. Due to the skin on skin contact, we will avoid this for a short period of time. Your coach will provide you with a link to a video so you can do your measurements at home.

Why can’t we use a heart rate monitor?

Safety of our staff and clients is our top priority. Due to the skin on skin contact, we will avoid this for a short period of time. You can use your smartwatch or our Coaches can take your pulse manually (with gloves on).

Why do I need to wear long pants and long sleeves?

Safety of our staff and clients is our top priority. We ask that you wear a long sleeve top and pants so that there is no direct skin contact with yourself and our machines.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring your own large towel and water bottle (water coolers will not be in use). As lockers will not be in use, please bring only the essentials.

STUDIO BOOKINGS

How do I book my session

Please call your local studio to book your sessions in with them directly. Find your NSW HYPOXI studio here.

How do I cancel a session?

  • 12 hours notice to cancel or session is forfeited (as per our normal cancellation policy)
  • Email or call your studio and leave a message if no one answers
  • You will be removed from that session if it’s within 12 hours

How far in advance can I book a class?

Due to high demand, you can now book 7 days in advance for session times. Please ensure you only book for sessions you can attend. Maximum 3 sessions per week.

CLUB/STUDIO PROCEDURES

Entering Club /Studio

You will be able to enter the club 5-10 minutes before the commencement of your booked session.

To avoid congregation outside the club, we ask that, if applicable, you wait in your car until 5-10 minutes prior to your session, otherwise maintain 1.5m when lining up to enter the club.

To assist with contact tracing, you will need to have your membership tag so reception can check you into your class or workout session (if you don’t have one, the HYPOXI staff will provide one).

Session times will be spaced at least 15 minutes apart to allow for staff to sanitise between equipment used. On arrival, please avoid congregating around the studio entry.

HYPOXI appointments have been re-designed to avoid client interaction and sharing of equipment. We ask that members adhere to social distancing guidelines by following the floor markings within the studio for the duration of the session.

Exiting Club/Studio

At the conclusion of your visit, please exit the building immediately, adhering to social distancing guidelines.

What are the trading hours?

Please see our website for trading hours and workout booking times.

What areas of the gym that HYPOXI is attached to, are closed?

These include: the change rooms; including lockers and showers (excluding toilets), all wet areas and relaxation zones including, but not limited to, steam room, sauna, pools, chill rooms, childminding, member lounges.

Please bring a large towel and water bottle. Lockers will also be closed, so please minimise unnecessary personal belongings.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

When will I be debited next?

  • Studios will be contacting all members over the upcoming days and weeks to get you back in and started!
  • NSW direct debit payments will start 25 June 2020, unless we hear from you prior
  • Your first debit will be inline with your normal debit cycle/days. For example; if prior to the closure, your membership was debited fortnightly on a Thursday, your next debit will resume on Thursday and reoccur fortnightly.

Can I leave my membership suspended?

Yes, you can. Please call your local studio and they can ensure that your suspension continues.

Are there any other fees and charges?

We understand it’s been a really difficult time for everyone. So, when your membership resumes, we will be reassessing your current pack and looking at the best option for you.
After the first two weeks of you reactivating your membership, if prior to the closure, you had any outstanding payments (e.g. pro-rata catch-ups, overdue fees) or had other new member payments due to be debited whilst HYPOXI was closed, these will resume. If you need assistance and payment plans with some of these we are happy to help.

I have paid upfront for my membership.

Great!  Please call your local studio to book in for your next sessions.

Can I suspend my membership?

Yes, you can, please call your local studio so they can help you.

My pack was due to expire, what do I do?

We have allowed an extra 6 months on all packs to cover the time lost by our closure.

What about if I want to purchase more sessions?

We have a great reopening special!

Get 3 sessions a week for only $99 per week for a minimum of 8 weeks. If you wish to cancel after this, we require 7 days notice. Payment occurs through direct debit.

Alternatively, you can get 3 sessions a week for $109 per week with no minimum period. Once again, we require 7 days notice if you wish to cancel. Payments are via direct debit.

If you were previously on our $159 a week Membership, we will reduce this to our $99 per week Membership (min. 8 weeks) or $109 Membership (no minimum period) as we are currently not able to offer HDC sessions.

Please Note that HYPOXI at Fitness First clients are debited fortnightly on Thursdays.

HYPOXI at HOME LIVE & VIRTUAL CLASSES

I don’t feel comfortable returning yet.

During the enforced closure, we’ve been here with you online, keeping you motivated to stay active with our HYPOXI at HOME workouts which appear on our HYPOXI Facebook Page. Our studios are reopening, but the great news is you can also continue working out with your favourite instructors in the comfort of your home for no charge.
We value every member and understand that everyone’s circumstances are different, especially during this difficult time.

Reducing the risk of COVID-19

The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends hygiene and other measures to reduce the general risk of infections by:

  • Social distancing to ensure a minimum of 1.5 metres between each individual at all times.
  • Frequently cleaning hands by using alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water
  • When coughing and sneezing cover mouth or nose with flexed elbow or tissue – throw tissue away immediately and wash hands
  • Avoiding close contact with anyone who has a fever or cough
  • If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing seek medical care early and share previous travel history with your healthcare provider.

This situation is evolving and we ask members to continue to check the below websites for the latest updates and guidance:
