Whether you’re trying to lose weight or just wanting to maintain your sleek physique, it’s often good to adopt some simple lifestyle changes in order to elevate and enhance your regime! Whether you are feeling sluggish and need to up the ante or you feel the need to give your metabolism that extra push: here are our top tips, the sneaky tricks of the trade that will help you boost your metabolism and lose weight with minimal effort.

1) Start the day with a walk

Just a 15-20 minute walk outside to start your day will help! Exercising early in your day not only gives your body the rev-up it needs to launch your metabolism (you will lift your metabolic rate by 10% for 4 hours!), but it will also get those endorphins flowing to commence your day in the best possible way…

2) Drink green tea

The powerful polyphenols and caffeine in green tea have been shown to increase fat burning and while only in small amounts, every little bit counts. Green tea is also loaded with antioxidants and nutrients that have powerful effects on the body. This includes improved brain function, fat loss, a lower risk of cancer and many other incredible benefits.

3) Add in a soup a day

Swap just one of your meals each day for a hearty vegetable based soup and the kgs will literally fall off. You can also make it ‘HYPOXI-friendly’ on your session days by adding lots of healthy proteins such as chicken and green veggies.

4) Start the day with a probiotic

Many of us suffer with chronic bloating and fluid retention and adding in a probiotic supplement is a great way to support gut health but to also keep your regular.

5) Enjoy your water iced

When you drink icy substances the body has to work a little harder to cool temperature to body temperature and again, every little bit extra helps.

6) Spice it up

Whether you add chilli or enjoy a curry, the hotter the food, the better it is for your metabolism.

7) Have an eating cut off time

Eat your breakfast by 7am, lunch at 12pm and dinner by 7pm – simply shifting your food intake forward is often all that is required to boost metabolic rate.

8) Boost your metabolism by chilling out!

Stress causes weight gain as it interferes with the efficiency of your metabolism. Try meditation or relaxation techniques.
